Bergen Tree Services was established in 1990 by Andrew Hancock to provide a professional tree care service for all tree owners in the South Lakeland and North Lancashire area.

Andrew has over 18 years experience in the industry and holds both vocational and academic professional qualifications including all relevant N.P.T.C. chainsaw and arboricultural certificates as well as a Royal Forestry Society Certificate in Arboriculture.

All our work is carried out in accordance with BS 3998 – the recognised quality benchmark for arboricultural operations – and conforms to all Approved Codes of Practice.

Professional tree care is a commitment to the future and, in the long term, as in any industry, it really does pay to take advice from and use the services of professionals because inappropriate or ill-advised tree surgery can endanger the tree, the public and the customer – cutting corners is rarely cost effective. It only takes a few minutes to do irreparable damage to a tree which has stood for many years.
